Binary Wisdom is what we call seasonal meaning derived from binary, it is also the name of our curriculum and platform which utilizes a binary zodiac called the 'bounds of being' as evidence for universal meaning derived from binary.
The Bounds of Being is a formal system built from one key observation: that binary sequences, when sequenced according to cyclical principles of seasonal polarity, produce a map of qualitative phases whose internal coherence is self-evident and independently verifiable.
The binary zodiac as presented in the 'bounds of being' system consists of 360 binary degrees. Its patterns are sequenced as bounds that allow for a rich framework of aspectual meaning between chart placements.
Visual binary are fonts and ligatures assigned to binary in a way that helps illustrate their structural patterns and relationships that would otherwise be unnoticed. Each set of binary has a unique visual logic and when combined into bounds convey an overall portrait of related meanings.
Bounds are sequentially arranged binary patterns that hold seasonal and zodiacal meaning. Their sequence is derived from aspectual relationships that indicate a continuous seasonal flow of polarity.
Binary aspects are internal patterns that express relational themes within a set of binary. They convey the time bounded stages of meaning within each bound as a set of relationships to the whole.
The Bounds of Being sequence are based on similar mathematical principles that describe fluid dynamics: density, momentum, and energy, but uses binary patterns to do so. These attributes are encoded as direction and intensity that correspond with seasonal thermodynamic principles.
Historically, Bounds were an ancient astrological system, with ubiquitous usage across cultures. But how were they derived and why? We aren't sure, it's possible they come from multiple sources, the i-ching likely being one of them. In the absence of clear historical record, this project attempts to derive answers directly from binary patterns themselves.
The same traditional astrological principles apply with some extras: tabular chart interface, visual font symbolisms, binary aspects, decas (10 signs), a proposed soli-lunar basis for the start of the zodiac, and 360 X 60 binary resolution but these additional layers of meaning are optional / do not subtract from but rather enhance the application of traditional techniques.
