The Manifesto

What is this project about?

Dear Visitors,

I would like to share with you some reasons why I think binary is an essential tool for wisdom and insight. At a fundamental level, much of existence can be described in binary terms. By "Binary," I don't mean a simple "either/or," but rather a dynamic "both/and"—a principle of polarity and oscillation found throughout nature.

From the structure of atoms to the cycles of solar systems, we observe polarity – differentiated states interacting in cyclical ways. Life itself can be seen as a binary unity, where apparent opposites work together as one. The cycles and symmetries in nature, like those found in music theory where harmonic sequences arise from oscillations between high and low frequencies, hint at this underlying binary wholeness. These patterns resonate with seasonal cycles and are reflected across many natural phenomena.

Ancient traditions like the I-Ching recognized binary symmetry thousands of years ago. Yet, these profound systems can often feel cryptic. My own struggle to find clear, replicable logic within the I-Ching led me to explore other systems. I encountered the 60 "Bounds" or "Terms" in classical astrology, a fascinating division of the zodiac whose origins remain somewhat mysterious. Again, I wondered about the potential binary foundation underlying such systems.

Driven by deep questions, I began experimenting with creating my own binary bounds. Many of my early attempts failed to capture the consistent rulesets I felt must exist to model life-cycle principles. The breakthrough came when I discovered principles in ancient astrology describing zodiacal signs through seasonal shifts of flow. Applying these directional flow principles to binary sequencing suddenly made things click.

By synthesizing insights from various traditions and focusing on logical consistency, I landed on a set of binary sequences that seemed to clarify the zodiac with remarkable definition. This wasn't an overnight discovery; I spent over a decade refining the system, developing a scripted font to make the patterns more visually accessible, and exploring connections to other disciplines like music, physics, linguistics, and genetics. This pursuit of a logically sound way to represent life-cycle concepts using binary patterns became a lifelong passion.

But does this system work? Does binary truly describe reality? While the answer may depend on individual perspectives, I believe the best test is practical application. If the "Bounds of Being," as I call this system, truly represent fundamental life-cycle concepts, their relevance should become apparent through study and use. This system aims to offer a logical life compass and a source of interdisciplinary inspiration.

To share these discoveries and provide a structured path for others, I've developed the Bounds of Being platform. Our 'Fundamentals of Binary Wisdom' course aims to make the case for binary, laying out the evidence and guiding questions that led to these insights. The goal isn't just intellectual understanding, but fostering intuition and practical application – much like learning music requires practice, not just theory. The chart software and community features are designed to support this journey.

What I introduce as "The Bounds of Being" is a universal binary language and a system of meaning intended as a blueprint for understanding time-bound knowledge. If exploring universal patterns through a logical lens interests you, I invite you to join us. Explore our courses, experiment with the chart tools, and see if the Bounds resonate with you. With patience and diligence, I believe anyone can benefit from this system, and our community is here to support that exploration.

So, check out our programs, get a chart reading, and let the material sink in. When you're ready to dive deeper, you know where to find us!
